Business Development
Training
The future growth of any business depends heavily on developing new business as well as maintaining existing business. Business development is, therefore, one of the most important areas to focus on for growth.
Some common mistakes made when scouting for new business opportunities include not scoping the market properly, not understanding what is required to do business in certain segments (e.g., business and/or product registration, IP registration, the costs involved in doing business, etc.), and having the wrong distribution model.
The key benefits of business development training are to better understand all the market nuances before launching a product, how to overcome various challenges such as the supply chain, pricing, choosing an appropriate distribution model, servicing the market, after-sales service (if required), how to choose an agent/distributor (if required), ways to market your product, customer call cycles, database development, identifying key decision-makers, and being aware of what the competitors are doing

How Macadamy Can Help Your Business With Business Development Training
Half-Day Workshop

We provide an overview of the business development process and what is required for it to be successful. If a client has specific business development challenges they would like to address, these can be incorporated into the workshop. Sessions and content are very flexible in this regard.

1-Day Training

The one-day workshop focuses on the key areas of business development, distribution models, pricing, the supply chain, identifying key decision-makers, servicing clients, customer visits, creating databases, and much more. Not all businesses want or require all areas of training at once and may prefer to cover each area in more detail, so there is flexibility if required. Each area is covered in relative detail and focuses on practical, useful information to avoid wasting time. The training is interactive, with quizzes and breakout sessions to consolidate knowledge learned.

2-Day Training

Similar to the one-day training sessions; however, each day covers the key areas in more detail. Clients can choose specific areas they would like to focus on, and the days can be allocated accordingly. There are quizzes and breakout sessions to consolidate what has been learned.

3-Day Training

Similar to the 2-day training, but more areas of focus are added, and these are explored in greater depth. There are quizzes and breakout sessions to consolidate the skills and knowledge learned.

4-Day Training

Similar to the 3-day training, but all the key areas of focus are covered, along with additional instruction in business negotiation, cultural nuances, and sales strategy. If time permits, there will also be a practical demonstration of how a meeting with a new potential customer should be conducted. Quizzes and breakout sessions are included to consolidate everything learned.

Consulting & Mentoring

This is undertaken on an hourly basis and can cover any of the business development areas we specialise in. Consulting is generally conducted on a one-on-one basis and is flexible.
All training and consulting can be conducted at a client’s premises, online, or at a neutral venue of your choice.
